Microsoft Office 365
Students, faculty, and staff have FREE access to Microsoft Office 365 apps. You can install Office 365 on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones. The Office 365 bundle includes:
- Outlook (email)
- OneDrive for Business
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- and More!
Installing Office 365 Apps
The installation of Office 365 on your home device may take a while so make sure you have plenty of time, a strong WIFI connection, and close out any other applications or windows.
- Open your Office 365 account on the personal device you wish to install the Microsoft applications.
- In the upper right corner, click "Install Office"
- Select "Office 365 apps"
- Follow the listed installation instructions: 1) Click Run 2) Say "yes" 3) Stay Online
- When the installation is complete, open Word or Excel from your computer and re-enter your YVC email and password when prompted to complete the activation.
- Repeat this process with any other home devices.
OneDrive
OneDrive is also included with your bundle and it works similar to Google Drive, both are cloud storage. You can create and save documents in your cloud, save them to your desktop/thumb-drive, or upload existing files to your OneDrive.
