Instruction Guide for the library Recording Studio

 

Add Green Screen (Chroma Key) Filter 

  • Right-click on the source named "Green Screen" in the "Sources" box. 

  • Select "Filters" from the context menu. 

  • Click the "+" icon, choose "Chroma Key," and name your filter. 

  • Adjust the settings in the Chroma Key window: 

    • Key Color Type: Select “Green” for the Green Screen. 

    • Similarity: Adjust to make the Chroma Key more or less sensitive. 

    • Smoothness: Adjust to make the edges of the keyed-out area smoother. 

    • Opacity: Set the opacity to control the transparency of the keyed-out color. 

Fine-Tune Your Settings 

  • Click "Close" on the Filters window. 

  • Adjust your camera position and lighting to achieve the best results. 

  • Preview your scene to ensure the Chroma Key is working effectively. 

  • Add Background Source: 

    • Click on the "+" icon under the "Sources" box to add a new source. 

    • Choose either "Image" for a static background or "Media Source" for a video background. 

  • Select Your Background: 

    • For an image, browse and select the image file you want to use. 

    • For a video, choose the video file you want as your background. 

  • Configure Background Settings: 

    • Name your background source and click "OK." 

    • Adjust the settings in the source properties if needed (e.g., loop the video, set image dimensions, etc.). 

  • Arrange Sources: 

    • In the "Sources" box, ensure that the background source is listed below the Chroma Key source. The order determines the layering of sources. 

  • Position and Resize: 

    • Click on the background source in the preview window. 

    • Adjust the size and position by dragging the corners or using the transformation handles. Right-click on the source to access transformation options. 

Preview: 

  • Use the preview window to check how your background looks with the Chroma Key effect. Make any necessary adjustments to ensure a seamless integration. 

  • Filters (Optional): 

    • You can add additional filters to the background source if needed, such as color correction or image masks. Right-click on the background source, select "Filters," and click the "+" icon to add filters. 

  • Test and Adjust: 

    • Start streaming or recording to test your setup. Make adjustments as needed to achieve the desired visual effect. 

Tips for Adding Backgrounds: 

  • Choose Appropriate Backgrounds: Select backgrounds that complement your content and are relevant to your stream or recording. 

  • Consider Dynamic Backgrounds: If using a video background, consider dynamic or looping visuals to add interest. 

  • Experiment with Multiple Scenes: Create different scenes with various backgrounds to switch between during your stream or recording.

  • Check for Visibility: Ensure that the background doesn't interfere with the visibility of your main content. Adjust transparency or positioning as needed.
